watching the video, pick a partner to make a poster focusing on myths
and reality about one of the following topics.
- What is depression? What
are some signs or symptoms?
- What are some different types of
depression?
- What are some causes of
depression?
- Describe different treatments of
depression.
- Teen depression
(No more than 2 groups doing the same topic please.)
Some possible myths to
include are:
- Depression is just a feeling, you
can snap out of it if you try hard enough.
- Depression only occurs when bad
things happen.
- Its easy to make yourself feel
better.
- There is nothing you can do to
treat depression.
- Only adults suffer from
depression.
- Antidepressants can help anybody
with depression.
- There are no outward signs of
depression.
- People with depression never
experience extreme highs.

information, pictures and quotes to put on the poster.
